Cotton Australia has formed a number of authentic partnerships with retailers, brands, manufacturers and supply chain partners who share the industry’s values. If your organisation believes in reducing environmental footprint, the fair and safe treatment of workers, quality product and supply chain traceability – then we may be in business.
LEADING THE WAY TOWARDS RESPONSIBLE COTTON PRODUCTION
The Cotton LEAD program is committed to promoting responsibly-produced cotton. It’s a partnership between the Australian and U.S. cotton industries to highlight national efforts in sustainability, the use of best practices and traceability in the supply chain.
The program emphasises the environmental gains achieved by the cotton industries of the two member nations, and highlights U.S. and Australia’s capabilities in traceability, research and development. Cotton LEADS℠ partners (including brands, retailers and manufacturers) recognise the high standards of cotton production in the member countries, and the government regulations that protect the natural environment and the rights of workers.
Textile businesses can become a partner in the Cotton LEADS℠ program at no cost, and will be kept up to date on the significant efforts of Australia and the U.S. in responsible cotton production at a national level.
